Cape Cod 2014 photo diary

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a whole year since last summer’s trip to Cape Cod yet there it goes - another year has passed. With the exception of hurricane Arthur’s twenty-four-hour wrath ruining the 4th of July (trying to sleep through 40 MPH winds and heavy rain in a tent in the woods is not an easy feat, folks), the trip was as lovely as usual. Here are some photos from the long weekend.

Strolling through Provincetown. How adorable are those houses?

Taking in the sights at Breakwater Walk - a man-made walkway in the middle of the ocean that connects the mainland of Cape Cod with the outermost tip of the peninsula.

Checking out the goods at my absolute favorite Provincetown destination, the Marine Specialties store. The huge thrift store consists of crates and shelves of awesome, vintage army and navy-themed tchochtkes. It’s cheap and there’s something there for everyone so nobody walks out empty-handed. It’s quite addictive - Rene and I look forward to going there every year. This time I got a set of six saucers (formerly of American Airlines), a pair of metal tongs and a small ladle for a whopping, wait for it… - $2.93.

The fireworks were postponed by a day due to the hurricane but better late than never, eh?

Until next time, Cape Cod!
