Last year, I had the chance to sample the amazing Giovanni Rana pasta and sauces. Since then, their pesto and tortelloni have become some of my favorite supermarket shortcuts to a delicious meal.
Today, I am happy to extend to you an awesome giveaway for two tickets to Pasta Poetry Duel, hosted by Giovanni Rana Pasta, taking place in NYC on June 10, 2014. What is Pasta Poetry Duel, you ask? It’s the first ever event of its kind - a feast of pasta, Italian wines, cocktails, and poetry on the topic of everyone’s favorite starch. Founder and master pasta maker Mr. Giovanni himself will be in attendance, in all the way from his native Italy! This unique event sounds like a ton of fun and I can’t wait to go.
For a chance to win two tickets to the event, simply leave a comment below telling me about your favorite pasta dish. The tickets are valued at $110. Minimum age required for attendance is 21. Each ticket includes freshly-cooked Giovanni Rana pasta, Italian appetizers, cocktails and desserts, as well as take home pasta to-go, and the chance to win a prize for the best photo booth picture. The tickets were graciously offered to me free of charge and I was not otherwise compensated for this post. All opinions are my own.
A winner will be chosen at random on Wednesday, June 4th, at 8pm. Be sure to enter a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win; your email address will be visible only to me.
UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed.

I like a nice Bucatini Carbonara, mixes things up with a hollow variation of the traditional spaghetti noodle.
Sweet potato gnocchi with sage and a brown butter sauce. It’s been my jam for the past month.
The Potato Gnocchi at The Arsenal/Bluejacket in DC is my favorite as of a few days ago! Braised veal leg, English peas, and chives!
Although it may sound simple my favorite pasta dish is penne vodka. It’s more of an American Italian dish as when I went to Italy I couldn’t find it anywhere. However a combination of al dente pasta with tomatoes and a tangy vodka cream sauce is all I need to be a happy girl
